2010 FCFCU Scholarship winners!

First Community Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the recipients of the 2010 High School Scholarship Awards.

This is the third year First Community Federal Credit Union has offered a scholarship program. This year, FCFCU awarded ten $1,000 scholarships, and two $250 honorable mentions to twelve high school senior graduates for their academic and personal achievements. In addition, First Community Federal Credit Union also awarded the ten scholarship winners High Schools with a general use School of Excellence Award of $500, which may be used to enhance educational programs in their district.

The scholarship was open to any graduating high school senior that currently attended school in one of ten counties that First Community Federal Credit Union currently serves. The criteria was based on academic merit, college acceptance, current enrollment in either a trade school or college program for the 2010 Fall semester, and the student must be an actively participating member with FCFCU. Each student was asked to write an essay explaining their personal and educational goals, and how this scholarship will help them achieve their goals.
